Four Queens Hotel & Casino Las Vegas History

The Four Queens $5.5 million project was officially opened on June 2, 1966. The casino and hotel were named after the builders four daughters.

The hotel was owned by the Elsinore Corporation from 1972 to 2003. In 1995, the Elsinore Corporation filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and the hotel was taken over by the investment firm Morgens, Waterfall, Vintiadis and Company at 99% ownership.

The expansion of the casino occured in 1976 with a second 18 story hotel building erected.

The casino occupies the entire corner block it sits on and was a partner in creating the Fremont Street Experience.

Terry Caudill bought the Four Queens in 2003 and upgraded the 1,040 slot machines.

A $20 million renovation was nearing completion in March 2007. All 690 hotel rooms were upgraded. A new restaurant was established, the Chicago Brewing Company. Also the 10,000 square foot Canyon Club nightclub was built and opened in April 2007.
