Heavy metal band the Scorpions with Skid Row are at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas. The Scorpions, made up of longtime members Klaus Meine (vocals), Rudolf Schenker (rhythm guitar) and Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), alongside James Kottak (drums) and Paweł Mąciwoda (bass), promise to create a unique experience for fans. German hard rock band the Scorpions was part of the first wave of metal bands in the 1970s, but it wasn’t until the 1980s that they hit it big in America. “Blackout” in 1982 was their breakthrough album here in the United States and went on to become one of the biggest attractions in the 1980s heavy metal scene, scoring several radio hits. Throughout the ’80s the Scorpions amassed multiple Top 10 singles including “Rock You Like a Hurricane” and “No One Like You,” as well a string of successful singles such as “Send Me an Angel” and “Still Loving You.” Just when the Scorpions’ popularity seemed as if it might come to an end, the band came back with their biggest hit yet in 1990, “Winds Of Change,” a power ballad that capitalized on the fall of the Berlin Wall. The band was ranked No. 46 on VH1’s Greatest Artists of Hard Rock and their hit “Rock You Like a Hurricane” also landed as No. 18 on VH1’s list of the 100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs. The group has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, and have received multiple honors including a World Music Award. In September 2015, the Scorpions released their 19th studio album, “Return To Forever.” It was also the same year the band celebrated their 50th anniversary. Joining the Scorpions will be heavy metal band Skid Row.

We’re going to make a bold statement: Shania Twain belongs on the Mount Rushmore of country music. There’s no doubt about it on our end and she’ll be at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas to prove any doubters wrong. Let’s list some of Shania Twain’s accomplishments just for fun
This show has gone to the dogs — and cats. Featuring everyday pets doing extraordinary things, Gregory Popovich’s Comedy Pet Theater is the cutest show on the Las Vegas Strip. You’ll see dogs, cats, doves and other animals act out scenarios like passengers waiting to board a train, students in a classroom and patients waiting to be seen by a doctor. Of course the passengers, students and patients are played by Popovich’s more than 30 pets. As the creator, he’s the main star of the show. However, his cuddly cast members can’t help but steal the spotlight. The show also features circus acts like juggling, gymnastics and a jump rope routine. Some of the acts are performed by Popovich, while others showcase the talents of his featured artists. One of them is his daughter Anastasie. She dances, twirls a baton and leads a group of adorable dachshunds in a routine. She directs the dogs with ease, a talent she must have inherited from her father. A fifth-generation circus performer, Russian-born Popovich developed his skills at the Moscow Circus School. His talents earned him a spot touring with the Moscow Circus. He has performed throughout Europe, Japan and America in the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus and at the Circus Circus in Las Vegas. In the show he juggles pins and small hoops and even balances on a free-standing ladder. Hailing from a family of circus performers, Popovich also learned how to create strong bonds with animals and how to train them. All of the animals in the show were rescued from shelters around the country and transformed into stars on the Strip. In 2009, Popovich released his first book, “You CAN Train Your Cat.”
Hitzville The Show is a nostalgia-filled trip through the Motown hits of yesteryear. Vocalist Jin-Jin Reeves, along with backup singers and the five-piece Hitzville band, fills Planet Hollywood’s V Theater with an authentic Motown sound and experience that will have you clapping your hands and dancing in the aisles. Hitzville is a journey through the times and places that made Motown famous, opening up with The Pips’ classic “I Heard it Through the Grapevine,” and going through different acts, going from one influential Motown band to the next. Expect famous songs like “My Guy,” “Natural Woman” and “What’s Love Got to Do With It,” along with a few rarer tracks that will make Motown fans very happy. Throughout the show, Reeves evokes the sound and character of Motown’s most famous divas, going from Diana Ross to Gladys Knight to Tina Turner (and many others) without missing a beat. This comes as no surprise, as Reeves has shared the stage with many of the performers she covers in “Hitzville.” Such energy in a tribute show is rare, but really makes “Hitzville” stand out among the rest. Reeves’ backup singers in some of the songs will catch your eye when they come out dressed in red suits when they cover The Temptations, and will continue dazzle each time they come out in colorful attire and appropriate stylings for each new act. The group incorporates appropriate choreography into their acts, mimicking the original groups in both sound and showmanship. From their matching shoes to their side stepping and sliding across the stage, there are times when you’ll truly believe you’re in an authentic Motown show in the 1960’s. This is further enhanced with Reeves’ likeness to the divas she’s covering. You’re in for a treat when she gets to the Tina Turner segment of the show. Make no mistake: you will find yourself dancing along and having a great time at Hitzville.
