Earth, Wind and Fire

Inspired by his very own astrological chart, music legend Maurice White established the iconic music group Earth, Wind & Fire in 1969. Charting an ever-lasting musical history and impact on the world, Earth, Wind & Fire has scored eight number-one chart-topping hits and have sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. They continue to inspire new audiences as well as those that have been with them since the very beginning. The ground-breaking music of this legendary band has withstood the ever-changing trends and shows no signs of slowing down. Earth, Wind & Fire return to Las Vegas once again with their incredible vocals and musical performance, performing iconic hits like “Let’s Groove,” “September,” “Reasons,” and many more. Don’t miss out on Earth, Wind & Fire’s catalog of hits at the Venetian Theatre.

O by Cirque du Soleil

“O” is not just the name of the show, it also happens to be the sound you’ll make for the entire 90 minutes of this ethereal production. This aquatic-themed Cirque du Soleil show immerses audiences into a dream world of acrobats, synchronized swimmers, divers and other marine characters in, on and above a 1.5-million-gallon pool. Considering the dimensions of this unique performance area, it is easy to feel as though you’re in an alternate universe. It’s important to note the audience is placed just outside the splash zone, so there’s no need to worry about getting wet. Many of the intricate sets descend from the ceiling, often submerging entirely with the performers still attached. Acrobats and gymnasts exhibit gravity-defying stunts and create watery illusions in the pool at center stage. Each performer has multiple identical costumes they change into throughout the show, so that when they reemerge from underwater stunts, they can appear dry again. A family-friendly show, this mesmerizing performance will leave you breathless and provide great memories for years to come.

ELVIS: Spirit of the King

Elvis artist Steve Connolly is rocking Las Vegas as he brings The Spirit of the King to audiences at the LaMarre Theater. Having performed more than 10,000 shows impersonating The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Connolly does much more than sing Presley’s well-known hits, he takes his audiences back in time as if they were seeing the iconic musician performing right before their eyes. With many years of experience performing his Elvis impersonation act across the globe, Connolly will continue his rocking concerts right here in Las Vegas where the original King got his start.

Bill Maher

Perhaps the quickest political wit in the West (and East), Maher stokes the fires of almost every current and controversial debate you can think of. Uncontainable, opinionated, and armed with a scary amount of smarts, Maher is not afraid to ruffle a few feathers—or fire a few rounds at the other side. KÀ by Cirque du Soleil

Truth is, there’s a Cirque du Soleil production for just about every personality, mood and interest out there. And “KÀ,” is for the action-loving, adventure-seeking show goers that can appreciate an age-old story of good versus evil.  The entire theater is designed to fit the theme so no matter where your gaze takes you, you’ll be looking at the set. But you’re really gonna love this: the stage is made up of two massive moving platforms that not only float, but turn completely vertical. Did you hear that? That was the sound of our minds being blown. And just wait until you see the suspended fight scenes. Also, while it’s insanely cool, not all the stunts are done in the air. The Wheel of Death, for example (ohmagah can you believe they have a Wheel of Death?), is positioned firmly on the ground while the daredevil performer flings himself into dangerous heights, where one misstep could lead to his demise. A story of intense battle, and a question of triumph or defeat to the very end, KÀ is entertainment on an entirely new level. Forreal.

Raiding the Rock Vault

These are NOT basement guitarists and karaoke wannabees who stumbled out of the garage and onto the stage to play half-decent covers. The cast of Raiding the Rock Vault plays the standards like only real rockers can, because they are real rockers. You know how your college roommate could barely squeak out the “oooooh-oh!” in the first half of “Livin’ on a Prayer” and then his voice cracked? There’s absolutely no risk of that at Raiding the Rock Vault. These killer tribute performers belt it out like the professionals they are — with power and guts. While a group of Guitar Gods lead the audience through three decades of hits: Hendrix, Zeppelin, Queen, Def Leppard, AC/DC, Van Halen, and everything in between. And two extremely talented female vocalists round out the performance. These killer performers even played in legendary bands like Heart, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, Dio, Survivor, Slaughter, and more! So there’s no doubt that they know exactly what they’re doing: playing the greatest music from the greatest eras in American history, and reminding the fans who grew up to those sounds, that real music never dies. Rock out to Raiding the Rock Vault in Vegas.

Chris Tucker

Stand-up comedian and actor Chris Tucker’s large and in-charge personality is filling the theater at the Encore Theater at the Wynn Las Vegas. Known for his iconic lead role in “Rush Hour,” Chris Tucker movies include “Money Talks,” “The Fifth Element” and “Silver Linings Playbook.” But before all the fame from his blockbuster hits, Tucker got his start in stand-up comedy shows. He became a regular on Def Comedy Jam and has gone on multiple comedy tours around the world. And now he’s here to stake his claim on the Las Vegas comedy scene. Get your tickets to see Chris Tucker at the Encore Las Vegas now!

VEGAS! THE SHOW

An Old Fashioned, some red lipstick and a black dress…sigh, there’s just something undeniable about a good ol’ classic. The beloved Vegas showgirl may be an endangered species these days (insert tear), but “VEGAS! THE SHOW” preserved those feather-clad beauties and the likes of an era when everything was flashier and dripping with sophistication. What’s that you ask? Can a show filled with gorgeous and talented women a la Rat Pack era really exist in the here and now? Oh yes my friend, it sure can and all we have to say is raise that curtain and let the good times roll. With a little song, a lot of dance and that certain sultry allure that only old timey Vegas could pull off, this is a trip down memory lane and, well, it’s pretty legit. The costumes are fun, funky, sexy and so real. Ok, well maybe not the candy-themed costumes but hell, their Sammy Davis Jr. sure had us pining for an autograph. For a city that was built on pure, raw talent and obviously dolla dolla bills, this show celebrates iconic moments from the city’s rich entertainment history through the decades that made the Vegas we know and love today. And we’ll tip our top hats to that.

Daniel Tosh

When we say the words “Daniel Tosh,” what comes to mind? Below the belt punches? Crop-dusting people? Internet videos? That’s actually not too far from the truth, because we’re sure he’s going to talk about all those things when he steps on stage in Vegas.   Daniel Tosh is ridiculously popular due to his time spent as host of the hit Comedy Central show “Tosh.0,” but even he’ll tell you that standup is his first love. At least we think. We can’t shake the feeling that this dude is messing with us. Anyways, Tosh is a man of many talents, as his numerous standup specials and his own cartoon show prove. Oh yeah, he created his own cartoon show on Comedy Central called “Brickleberry.” What have we done with our life, right? We’re just going to warn you: Daniel Tosh is an acquired taste. Much like crop-dusting people, actually.

Mystère by Cirque du Soleil

A gigantic baby? A humongous, inflatable snail? OK, you’ve got our attention. Like fine art, the storyline of Mystère at Treasure Island is left up to individual interpretation. But one thing about this production is for sure: this show, which also happens to be the first Cirque du Soleil production in Vegas, is so entertaining you’ll want to stay for an encore after the final bow. Oh, and speaking of the performers, the show features an international cast of 67 artists that are the ultimate example of “don’t try this at home.” We always wonder whether or not these crazy-talented performers are even human. They fly, they muscle up poles like tree frogs and make us feel pretty bad about not being able to touch our toes. They’re friggin’ amazing, and they have no fear and apparently no bones in their super-bendy bodies. Performing stunts like quadruple flips off teeterboards and other eye-popping tricks we average folk couldn’t dream of if we tried, this show is so unreal you just kinda have to let it happen. Emphasizing family-friendly, awe-inspiring athleticism and imaginative imagery, Mystère embraces all the signature Cirque du Soleil elements that have made this show one of the must-see productions on the Las Vegas Strip. And if you’re looking for the opportunity of a lifetime, look no further than the IN THE WINGS VIP experience. Here, you’ll join the cast onstage for a high-five moment during the final bows and sip on a glass of champagne during an exclusive artist meet-and-greet as a professional photographer captures the moment. Of course VIP seats will have you up-close-and-personal to all the onstage action. And oh yeah, there will be a VIP Guide onsite to escort the party throughout the theatre, too. Enjoy.

Mac King Comedy Magic Show

Without a doubt, Mac King is the funniest and now, longest-running magician in Las Vegas. He’ll hold you spellbound, while you hold your gut from laughing at his family friendly humor. King’s self-effacing sense of humor, blended with his flawless sleight-of-hand and superbly corny imagination, elevate him to the top of his craft. Plus, his unique combination of endearing Southern charm and offbeat showmanship never fails to produce mesmerizing tricks and a giggling audience.   King’s repertoire includes rope tricks, hand shadow puppets, mysterious appearances of Fig Newtons, live animals (i.e., a worm, a goldfish and his newest addition of Colonel Sanders, his white guinea pig) and a gold lamé cape specially designed for his ever-realistic (well actually not at all realistic but definitely funny) impersonations of Elvis and Liberace. Although appearing to be incompetent, King is truly adept in both his magic and people skills. That’s what makes it possible for him to feature so much audience participation. A veritable parade of volunteers steps onstage each afternoon, providing immediate, awestruck reactions to his tricks.   Our insider tip to you if you want to better your chances of being selected to join Mac onstage: Be outgoing, expressive and sitting in the first several rows. His showroom has traditional chair seating in the front and a few rows of spacious booths in the back – all of which offer clear views of the stage. Except for lighting and music, King makes little use of technology and has no ingeniously engineered props. Everything in his show seems ordinary…but then remarkably exceeds your expectations under impossible circumstances.

Eddie Griffin: Live and Unleashed!

Eddie Griffin has been on the stage for 30 years and keeps his comedy 100. He’s been around the block so much, he’s almost done everything a few times. Griffin has done tours, specials, CD’s, residencies and even movies. Remember Deuce Bigalow? Yeah, he was in that as well as Chappelle’s Show and was the star of Undercover Brother. And even though he has a rehearsed routine, you better watch out for his real-time rapid fire, because it will burn the house down. Eddie Griffin is coming to Vegas to show us a good time.

V – The Ultimate Variety Show

We’re about as indecisive as anyone else on this planet. Like come on, how can you make a decision on which show to see when there are a bazillion of them in Las Vegas? We ask ourselves every time, are we feeling lovey dovey or do we want to go to that rock metal concert down the street? Luckily, we found the solution to all our indecisive problems. V – The Ultimate Variety show gives you every entertainment element packed into one, like a buffet of talent, if you will. And in the true spirit of variety, the production swaps out different performers each night. Talking about the mystery of it all gives us that feeling of truly living on the edge. But if you’re more of a person that needs to be in the know, we’ll give you the deets. There’s the Skating Aratas, a husband and wife duo that pull out the death-defying stunts to get your blood pumping.  Or maybe The Crazy Gauchos will come out with a drum routine you’ll fall in love with. It doesn’t matter which acts come out from behind the curtain, all of them have great talent you can’t help but get googly eyed over all of them. Problem solved indecisive people, this is the Las Vegas show you need to see.

David Copperfield

It’s David freakin’ Copperfield. Need we say more? We really don’t but since we love talking about this world-famous magician who just so happens to be our neighbor, we’ll go on and brag about him and his show anyway. The perfect combo of nostalgia, magic and showmanship, master illusionist David Copperfield continues to wow us time and again. Trust us, we’ve been about 17 times and still can’t figure out how he teleports. Seriously, how does he do that?! Anyway, moving on. This show is just mystifying enough to make you believe in the supernatural, while also making you feel like a crazy person for considering whether or not someone could actually separate their torso from their legs and live to tell the tale. We just aren’t sure how he pulls off his magic but we are more than O.K. with it. In fact, we hope the mystery continues to endure the test of time so that we can keep attending the show and increasing our chances of being picked for the audience participation. Let’s be real here. We are talking about the man who made Statue of Liberty disappear and who walked through the Great Wall of China. Clearly, anything is possible. Don’t believe us? See Copperfield perform for yourself and let us know just how many of his illusions and tricks you manage to figure out. And if you get pulled onstage, we’ll be insanely jealous.

Chippendales

Let us be the first to tell you that the men of Chippendales are definitely not your average guys. Tan bodies, perfect smiles and abs that could double as washing boards, this male revue is one that you will want to see for yourself. While standing on stage wearing the signature Chippendales’ costume – a bow tie, wrist cuffs and jeans, the men fulfill just about every female fantasy, but they do a lot more than just look pretty. These men can dance and they demonstrate their aptitude in pelvic thrusting and hip shaking to the screams of women in the audience cheering for more. Every member of the sexy cast is good looking and varied enough in appearance to suit all tastes, tall, blonde, dark and lean, rough and tough, and strong and mean, this show has it all. The uninterrupted flow of gorgeous performers entering and leaving the stage becomes a collage of fantasies. Ladies, brace yourselves because you have a few opportunities to get your hands on these cocoa-butter-basted babes. Throughout the show they walk into the audience to dance and flirt with women in the crowd. When it comes to having fun for a girls’ night out, bachelorette party or other special occasion, Chippendales is the epitome of every female fantasy. Afterwards, you can continue your night of male indulgence in Flirt Lounge located next to the showroom. The performers invite everyone to join them there for some fun after the show.

The Rat Pack is Back!

People might immediately think Elvis when it comes to Las Vegas, but before The King, the city jived to the tune of four entertainers who won over audiences with their cool musical stylings and playful stage demeanor. During the 1960s, the Rat Pack – Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin brought fame and recognition to the city as both an entertainment capital and gambling destination during their run inside the Copa Room at the Sands. Today, audiences can relive the revelry and timeless music of the Rat Pack era in the show The Rat Pack is Back at Tuscany Suites. “What happens in Vegas all started with the Rat Pack,” said the show’s producer Dick Feeney. “The real legend of Vegas – the cool cats, the drinking, the partying, the gambling, they epitomized it, and people still look at those days with fond memories.” Video clips of vintage Vegas play on screens hanging on both sides of the stage, reminding everyone of where the city’s reputation as a glitzy and glamorous destination started. The curtain opens and the 7-piece Lon Bronson orchestra gets the audience going with some toe-tapping music before performers portraying all the members of the Rat Pack enter the stage. They sing and dance, conveying all of the charisma and camaraderie of the real entertainers. Dean takes center stage with drink in hand and fittingly sings, “Volare.” His smooth voice and casual stage presence convey all the essence of the real performer. He pauses between songs for some playful joking with the audience. “I’m on the whiskey diet,” says Dean, “in one week I lost four days.” Everyone laughs before he gets back to singing the Italian love song “That’s Amore” where he invites the audience to join in. Sammy Davis Jr. joins him on stage to sing “That Old Black Magic” and “Candy Man.” Just like the real Rat Pack, you never know who is going to come out on stage next. Sometimes the performers interrupt one another for some good old fashioned ribbing. Later in the show, the four guys are joined by a fabulous playboy bunny. Wearing the authentic bunny outfit and she sings “Happy Birthday” to a lucky guy in the audience. Frank, Sammy, Joey and Dean reunite on stage to belt out a few more classics including “Luck Be a Lady,” “Lady is a Tramp” and “New York, New York.” These three cool cats really know how to have a good time. By the end of the show you will too.

Gregory Popovich’s Comedy Pet Theater

This show has gone to the dogs — and cats. Featuring everyday pets doing extraordinary things, Gregory Popovich’s Comedy Pet Theater is the cutest show on the Las Vegas Strip. You’ll see dogs, cats, doves and other animals act out scenarios like passengers waiting to board a train, students in a classroom and patients waiting to be seen by a doctor. Of course the passengers, students and patients are played by Popovich’s more than 30 pets. As the creator, he’s the main star of the show. However, his cuddly cast members can’t help but steal the spotlight. The show also features circus acts like juggling, gymnastics and a jump rope routine. Some of the acts are performed by Popovich, while others showcase the talents of his featured artists. One of them is his daughter Anastasie. She dances, twirls a baton and leads a group of adorable dachshunds in a routine. She directs the dogs with ease, a talent she must have inherited from her father. A fifth-generation circus performer, Russian-born Popovich developed his skills at the Moscow Circus School. His talents earned him a spot touring with the Moscow Circus. He has performed throughout Europe, Japan and America in the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus and at the Circus Circus in Las Vegas. In the show he juggles pins and small hoops and even balances on a free-standing ladder. Hailing from a family of circus performers, Popovich also learned how to create strong bonds with animals and how to train them. All of the animals in the show were rescued from shelters around the country and transformed into stars on the Strip. In 2009, Popovich released his first book, “You CAN Train Your Cat.”
