Your crew has only 45 minutes total to get through the antichamber and gain access to the ancient city where you’ll solve multiple puzzles using your skills and some serious hand-eye coordination to uncover its hidden treasure before it sinks back into the deep.  The Haunted Manor – Hard Level Age 12 and up Enter one of the world’s most haunted locations, Vesper Manor, where local legends tell of supernatural horrors that lurk behind every door. The new caretakers of the property have hired your team of paranormal investigators to uncover the manor’s secrets and end the ghostly experiences once and for all.  Wizard Trials – Hard Level A world of magic unfolds before you as an apprentice for the greatest wizard in the world. You and your fellow apprentices have worked tirelessly for years to master the magician’s secrets, from his alchemical arts to the ability to transmute you’ve conquered them all. Your gang of survivors have found an abandoned ranch as a refuge, but it won’t be safe for long. The old radio you were lucky enough to find speaks of a safe zone close by that can keep you all alive indefinitely. All you need to get to safety is to make the old motorcycle in the barn work again. So get that bike up and running as fast as you can. Because the dead are coming, and you can’t outrun them forever.  Casino Heist – Medium Level Age 8 and up The world’s most prolific thief has a proposition for you, but it’s not going to be easy. Do you have what it takes to return home with the dough? The Morning After – Easy Level Age 18+ So maybe you had one too many martini’s last night, and you can’t really remember what happened, but it can’t be that bad, right? Wrong. You and your friends may have partied a little too hard, broken a few laws, and unfortunately got it all captured on the most incriminating video ever. So to save yourself a divorce and some serious jail time, you’ll have to break into the hotel’s security office and delete that footage before anyone else sees it. REAL BODIES at Horseshoe Las Vegas

Grey’s Anatomy freaks – we mean fans – scrub in because we’re going deep under the skin to study all the parts of the body. Every piece of the body is revealed going through the exhibit, and when we say everything, we mean everything (use your imagination). We’ve learned that heart surgeons are basically bomb technicians. The inner workings of the heart reminded us of explosive wires, blue, yellow and red. We decided against touching anything, so neither should you. The attraction is filled with some fun facts and we’re going to tell you our favorites. Did you know a human bite force is 200 pounds per square inch or that babies are born with 300 bones but adults have 206? Well neither did we, pretty awesome if you ask us.   And if by the end of it you become attached to the attraction, you can donate your body to the exhibit upon your death. We decided to go ahead and sign up a couple of our friends, we’re sure they will love that email.

Bodies The Exhibition

Preserving the bodies To keep the specimens in top condition without decaying, they go through a method known as polymer preservation, in which all of the tissue and water is replaced with silicone rubber. First, each specimen must be preserved to stop decay. Next, it’s dissected to feature specific parts of the body. Once dissected, the specimen is immersed in acetone. This process removes all body water. After the acetone process, the specimen is placed in a silicone polymer bath and sealed in a vacuum chamber. During this stage, the acetone leaves the body in the form of gas and the silicone polymer replaces it, entering each cell and body tissue. A catalyst is then applied to the specimen, which hardens it and completes the process. Experts are available at the exhibit for guests who have further questions. With a name like Bodies in Las Vegas, it’s easy to assume you’re going to a topless show. But Bodies…The Exhibition at the Luxor is even more revealing. Bodies will easily trump any science lab dissection you’ve done in school. With an intricate, 3-D vision of the human form, visitors get the chance to see real bodies, preserved along with their inner organs. The exhibit showcases 13 whole-body specimens from China and more than 260 organs and partial body specimens. There are multiple rooms dedicated to different parts of the body, including the muscular, skeletal, circulatory and respiratory systems. There is also a more sensitive section of the exhibition showing fetal development. Guests can see different stages of a baby’s development, from eight weeks old to eight months, as well as fetuses with various birth defects, such as conjoined twins. This exhibit is located in its own private area, so those who feel uncomfortable viewing it can skip to the next section. It is both startling and informative to see so many body parts and inner organs out in the open when they are usually tucked safely away under your skin. One wouldn’t expect such an intricate part of the nervous system, like the spinal cord, to resemble a clump of seaweed. The tongue, meanwhile, looks a bit like a small, thick cut of steak (Would you like that medium-rare or well-done?). One of the more startling sights in the exhibit is the display of a smoker’s lung in the respiratory section. Visitors can see and compare a healthy lung to a blackened smoker’s lung. There is also a brain on display here from a person who suffered a stroke — ironically it looks a bit like the inside of an ashtray. After reading some scary, mind-opening facts (like a single pack of cigarettes takes four hours and 40 minutes off your life), you may think twice about puffing. For the guests’ convenience, there is a cigarette disposal bin nearby. Bodies also offers enrichment that helps visitors improve their quality of life and prevent diseases. Reading the quick facts on the wall is almost as interesting as checking out the specimens. For instance, did you know eating breakfast really does help improve your memory? There are plenty of benches scattered throughout the facility for guests who want to sit down and take a break. For those who want an in-depth description about particular displays, audio wands are available for $5. Expert docents can also answer questions. Visitors are encouraged to write their impressions of Bodies in one of several guest books at the end of the exhibition. As for those who want to take a little piece of Bodies home with them, the gift shop features some a collection of books, incense holders, models, key chains, souvenirs and educational doodads for kids.

The Big Apple Coaster

Where can you experience towering drops, multiple loops and stunning views of the Strip? Located on the popular intersection of Tropicana Ave. and Las Vegas Blvd., the Big Apple Coaster at New York-New York is hard to miss. Set in a perfect postcard shot, its surroundings include a replica of the New York harbor, a 150-foot model of the Statue of Liberty as well as several of Manhattan’s popular buildings. And to make things even more fun, the roller coaster trains are designed like New York taxicabs.  The ride begins with a steep hill, building great suspense and anticipation. Enjoy the aerial view of the south end of the Strip while you can, because before you know it, you’re plummeting down a 144-foot drop. The intensity continues with loops, corkscrews and hills, speeding up to 67 miles per hour. After the ride, you’ll feel surprisingly energized. Don’t forget to stop and see your photo, which is available for sale.

Titanic Artifact Exhibition

If you loved the 1997 movie “Titanic,” then the Titanic exhibit at the Luxor will blow you away.  Featuring more than 250 authentic artifacts, as well as breathtaking replicas from the famous ship, the Titanic exhibit truly brings history to life.  One of the most heartfelt elements of the exhibit is the personal stories of the passengers. During the tour, the exhibit’s staff shares personal tales from the passengers. Some stories have a tragic, yet romantic ending. For instance, some wives chose to stay behind with their husbands instead of climbing onto the lifeboats.  At the beginning of the exhibit, patrons receive a boarding pass of an actual passenger on Titanic. On the back of each boarding pass is the age and the itinerary of that person. At the end of the tour, patrons find out if he or she survived the Titanic by finding the name on the wall memorial.  Amazing artifacts  Titanic Fast Facts 706 passengers survived, but 1,517 were lost. Even if all 20 lifeboats had been filled to capacity, there was only room in them for 1,178 people. The Titanic was the largest moving object of its time.  It cost $7.5 million to build Titanic and carried a $5 million insurance policy. It would have cost about $400 million to build the ship today. More than 15,000 men worked on the Titanic for nearly three years to construct the hull and internal structure.  More than 100,000 people gathered to watch the Titanic sail off to New York.  For a third-class passenger, a ticket was $40 ($900 today). For a first-class passenger, tickets were $4,350 a piece ($50,000 today). It took about 60 pounds of coal for the ship to move 60 feet.  In addition to the passengers’ stories, other fascinating details include their belongings.  You’ll discover the Titanic passengers brought their own china and silverware. Each cup, plate, pitcher and bowl has its own interesting, distinct look. One of the exhibit’s unique pieces discovered is the au gratin plates set, stacked neatly in rows. The au gratin dishes were found lined up inside of a wooden crate that had deteriorated over time — an image that is recreated in the exhibition.  Other artifacts include ship tools, postcards, currency, a pipe, a spittoon and playing cards.  The Big Piece  While the tiny pieces leave behind a lasting impression, The Big Piece — a huge piece of the ship’s hull — definitely stands out.  This piece is currently the largest Titanic artifact ever retrieved. The Big Piece weighs an astounding 15 tons and measures more than 26 feet long.  Riveting replicas  In addition to the artifacts, the exhibit also features amazing replicas from the Titanic. One of these includes the staircase replica. Most remember the staircase scene in “Titanic” with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. Seeing the staircase in person brings the Titanic to life.  The staircase is where first-class passengers met, mingled and admired each other’s outfits. The intricately-detailed staircase replica includes iron, bronze and even the stained glass dome. Visitors have the option of having their picture taken and purchasing it at the end of the tour.  Other noteworthy replicas include the promenade deck (which features the sounds of waves crashing and a starry sky) as well as an iceberg, which guests are more than welcome to touch. Since the iceberg was specifically created for the exhibit, it contains its own cooling system to prevent it from melting.  Make sure to stop and take a look at the third-class and the finely decorated first-class sleeping quarters. Adorned with burgundy colors, elegant décor and mahogany accents, the first-class suite was considered more luxurious than any hotel room on land in its time.  Great for the entire family  From young to old, visitors of all ages will enjoy this exhibit. There is also gift shop for those who want to take a piece of Titanic home with them. Visitors can purchase everything from T-shirts, stuffed animals, captain hats for kids, cups, key chains and much more.  Titanic’s overall experience gives guests a better perspective and appreciation of what happened on that fateful night. It allows visitors to remember the story of Titanic, especially the heroism of the crew and the passengers that were lost that night.

High Roller

The High Roller in Las Vegas isn’t your average Ferris wheel. And it’s not really a Ferris wheel; it’s an observation wheel — the biggest in the United States at a staggering 550-feet-tall. Yes, you read that right: 550 feet. That’s nine feet taller than the Singapore Flyer and 107 feet taller than the London Eye. Located at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, the High Roller is the focal point of the $550 million open-air shopping, dining and entertainment district, The LINQ Promenade. It’s a sight that can’t be missed. Literally, you can’t miss it. The High Roller is comprised of enclosed and air-conditioned transparent pods holding around 40 passengers each. The pods are roomy with a couple benches and the ride is smooth, not typically bothering those with a minor fear of heights. From boarding to exit, the entire experience is about 30 minutes long (be sure to hit the bathroom before you board). Along the way, you enjoy in-cabin video and music shows while witnessing a truly unparalleled 360-degree view of Las Vegas both day and night.  With panoramic views of the Strip, the valley and the mountains, there’s something to see from every angle. But the southwest corner (your immediate right when you enter the pod) offers the best Strip views at the highest point. If you happen to nab this sweet spot, be courteous to other riders. There may be up to 39 other people riding with you in your pod. They want photos too. The High Roller is accessible from The LINQ via multiple entrances, including a back porte cochère off of LINQ Lane. The Las Vegas Monorail, meanwhile, cruises right in front of the High Roller with convenient stops at both the Flamingo and The LINQ. To board the High Roller, guests pass through a building, which includes interactive elements, bathrooms and a bar and lounge. The building also has a hospitality area with outdoor patios, which can be reserved for catered private parties of up to 500 people. Just as the High Roller has transformed the Las Vegas skyline, a ride inside it may transform you. After a spin on this wheel, your view of Vegas will likely never be the same.
